Workshops
We run workshops for
school children, local organisations and clubs, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.30
pm. Workshops can be as short as 1.5 hours or as long as you like. A minimum of
15 participants is needed to book a workshop. Participants/students are able to
keep their paintings, bracelets and items made using Aboriginal tools. You can
have a choice of any or all of the activities below.
Possible activities
1.
Tour of the centre and talk on paintings (approx.30 minutes)
2. Bush Tucker Walk (approx. 30 minutes)
3. Story telling (approx. 15 minutes)
4. Object-making using Aboriginal tools (approx.15 minutes)
5. Bracelet making (approx. 30 minutes)
6. Boomerang throwing (approx. 15 minutes)
7. Aboriginal Cultural Quiz (approx. 30 minutes)
8. Talk on one aspect of Aboriginal history, Q&A (approx. 30 minutes)
9. Clay sculpture (approx. 30 minutes)*
10. Hunting and gathering (approx. 30 minutes)
11. Painting (approx. 30-45 minutes)
* An extra charge of $2+GST per person will be added for the Clay Structure
Workshop.
Prices
Local:
A fee of $2.00 + GST is charged per person per hour
for the activities and materials.
International:
A fee of $5.00 + GST is charged per person per hour
for the activities and materials.
