The official group of the Armidale Aboriginal Elders is called the Armidale Aboriginal Elders Congress. The current chairperson is Mrs Margret Walford.
The Elders are great supporters of the Armidale and Region Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place Incorporated. Elders regularly participate in activities including art workshops, exhibitions, elders forum and other programs at the Centre, enabling them to provide a cultural awareness and cross-cultural learning facility throughout the New England region.
