Partnerships

i) The ACCKP is a regional partner of the Powerhouse Museum. In November of each year the Director represents the ACCKP at the PHM’s Regional Partners’ meeting.

ii) The ACCKP is a member of Armidale Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations (ACAPO). It was formed in May 2010 and the founding members are Minimbah Pre and Primary School Aboriginal Corporation, Aboriginal and Region Cultural Centre and Keeping Place Incorporated, NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Incorporated - North West Region, Armidale Local Aboriginal Land Council, Armidale Elder’s Congress, Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) Limited and Armidale Aboriginal Health Services Incorporated. The ACCKP was actively involved in assisting the set, creating the ACAPO Framework and obtaining a grant for the website.

iii) The ACCKP signed an agreement with the NSW Aboriginal Land Council to house its Tingha Collection valued at $81,707 at the ACCKP in July 2011. This collection will be used for educational purposes in 2012.

iv) The local council (Armidale Dumaresq Council) is working on bringing different community groups in one area (around the ACCKP) to open a big sustainable tourist attraction.

Workshops

Art and cultural workshops are available for groups of 15 or more people at only $3.30 per person per hour. Advance booking is essential. Activities for all ages are available.
