Welcome to Country

Welcome to Country is a ceremony performed at many events and meetings across Australia. It is Usually performed by an Aboriginal Elder local to the country or area in which the ceremony is being held. The Welcome is a sign of respect to the areas Aboriginal peoples and honours their elders, both past and present, while also welcoming the events visitors to their land.
